University Department of Economics
Established in 1961, this Department has very illustrious history of academic excellence, teaching and research in this part of globe. Its alumni are well placed and hold high posts of responsibility in academia financial institutions, Indian Economic Service, RBI, NGO sector etc. Some faculty members are in important Government Committees. A research journal named, Jharkhand Journal of Economics is published annually by the Department.
